My baby shower's theme is an adoption shower. Since I am adopting from China, we have a Chinese luncheon theme party.

We will be having a tea and serving a variety of Chinese dishes. For party favors we are having Chinese take-out containers filled with fortune cookies and Chinese candies.

For shower prizes we have a variety of Chinese themed items such as chopsticks, Oriental fans, and embroidered handbags.

The games that will be played will also have an adoption theme to them.

One game will consist of idenitfying 10 famous celebrities who were adopted as babies (for example, Melissa Gilbert, Greg Louganis, etc) .

Another game will be indentifying 10 famous celebrity adoptive parents (for example, Sharon Stone, Angelina Jolie, Meg Ryan, etc).

The final game will be all about our personal adoption journey for our son in China. People will have to name our adoption agency, what country our son is being adopted from, our future son's name, how old our son will be when he comes to the USA, who will be his godparents, what will be the theme of his nursery, etc. Those are just a few examples of the questions that they will have to answer.

There are NEVER any adoption baby shower ideas on the internet. I think this idea that I am submitting is a unique idea for the thousands of mothers every year who adopt.
