Around the World Baby Shower

A few years ago I went to a very unique around the world baby shower thrown for a woman that was adopting a baby from China.

The hostess requested that each of us do a little research into our native heritages and some of the customs, clothing, superstitions, birth options of our family heritage.

For example I'm part Italian, so I would find out info about babies, child rearing...and bring some pictures of Italian children, some in native costumes.

It was really fun and cute as everyone shared their information. The shower was decorated in flags and pictures from around the world, centering on China where the baby was from.

The food served was Chinese and American-mini eggrolls, mini cheeseburgers, fried rice and fries-It was certainly memorable.
