Baby Food Jar Favors

Well I am throwing my sisters baby shower. I am trying to save money as it is and so I am doing all of the decorations myself.

I am making a card box, a diaper cake, baby clothesline to hand, centerpieces and the favors. All these will be on this site as well.

So for the baby shower favors I am having my friends and family with babies save all of their baby food jars.

I am using them to put candies (skittles, m&ms, starbursts, chocolate covered raisins, just whatever comes to mind)in. I have bought some scrapbooking supplies like the sticky foam flowers and baby items to put on the lids and I have bought 3 different kinds of ribbon (one extra wide one medium and one thin) to decorate around the glass jar.

I printed off some tags that will say in honor of the babys name and the shower date. I am tying them on with a tiny ribbon around the top just below the lid. I have also played with making tea candle holders out of them. Very simple.

Decorate as so and add for a beach theme maybe some sand and shells then a candle on top low enough that the lid will close or maybe just some clear plastic rock from walmart or the dollar store. I am going to use these only im adding water and blue dye and then putting in small floating duck candles.

Really cute and easy oh and CHEAP!! :) I will add pictures later.
