Baby Block Junkle Cake
These baby shower cake decorations were done in a jungle theme because that is what the new mom had chosen as a theme for babies room.
I started with a 12 x 12 square cake. I cut squares away from the baby shower cake and arranged them in a pattern 'till I was happy with it.
The four layer baby shower cake decorations have a strawberry cream cheese filling and is covered in butter cream. The animals on the blocks were traced onto parchment paper with royal icing and allowed to dry (about 1 week). The bigger animals on top were formed from gum paste and again allowed to dry (about 2 weeks).
