When my great niece was born, I went to the hospital and took pictures of the new baby.
I shot a whole roll of film to make sure that I would have some great shots including baby and mommy, and baby and daddy. I took them to the nearest film developer where I knew I'd get them back beforethe baby shower.
When I got the pictures back, I picked out the best shots and took them to a photocopier to be enlargedto 8" x 10" and 5" x 7". I then bought frames cheaply in each size and embellished them with gold paint, ribbon,flowers, etc.
On the day of the baby shower, I set out an 8"x 10" of the baby on display by the cake. I also wrapped up the other pictures and made a gift of each to the mother, father, grandmothers, and greatgrandmothers.
They treasuredthese gifts as being the most thoughtful as they will be kept forever after the baby grows up.
