Bumble Bee Baby Shower

A ba-bee boy/girl is on his/her way...he's/she's as sweet as can bee!! Here's a shower to honor the mother-to-bee:

Who says a baby shower has to be pink or blue? This shower was thrown for a baby boy, but would just as easily work for a girl or a unisex shower.

Decor:
--yellow, black and white are the prevailing colors
--handsewn yellow and white polka dot table covers
--mixtures of black and white damask, black and white gingham and yellow in the little accents ie ribbon lined votives or vases
--fresh sunflower bunches
--bumble bee paper goods
--bumble bee decorated diaper cake
--theme appropriate wreath to greet guests at the front door

Dessert:
--a dessert bar featuring color coordinated treats: yellow, black and white cake balls and pretzel rods, flower shaped cookie pops, brownie bee hives, bee shaped lemon bars, pineapple mini muffins
--a candy bar: decorate different sized cydrical vases and fill with all yellow candy. Guests can fill bags to go
--as a party favor, candy coated caramel apples, decorated like bumble bees

This shower created quite the buzz :) among the invitees.
