I participated in planning my own baby shower and came up with the theme of a bun in the oven. The favors we gave out were pink pot holders (since we were having a girl)and actual buns. The buns were wrapped up in clear cellophane and tied with customized ribbons that commemorated the event.
The buns were made by my friend's brother in law, who owns a bread shop. My husband and I constructed an oven out of cardboard and I decorated it to look white. We placed the buns inside and the potholders were hung on the outside. It became the main centerpiece at the baby shower.
