Duckies for A.J.

Veronica's Diaper Cake
I am very meticulous when crafting so it may take me awhile until I'm completely satisfied with the end result of my creations. This was my second diaper cake and I made it for my sister-in-law. The theme was rubber duckies so I printed duckies and the personalization on card stock. I also bought and used glitter foam stickers to place on the ribbon. I used a lot of diapers for this cake and it came out very wide instead of tall. I purchased the giraffe off the registry list, the owl from Old Navy.com and found the letter sitters at a website. The letter sitters are heavy and I used double sided tape. Everything held up well because like I said the cake was wide so there was room to place on top. I bought a travel pack of baby essentials and placed them around or tucked inside the diaper cake. From the craft store I purchased decorations for the cake such as a blue pacifier, rattle, balloons, and mini clothespins. Washclothes on top and ribbons on the side finished the creation. I placed and carried the cake on a piece of wood that I wrapped up with wrapping paper. The cake was a hit and everyone was amazed with it. I had so much fun doing the cake. I have made several more after and the result is always the same. Sheer joy! Thanks!
