Fall Shower Surprise

My baby was due at the end of October, and I was having a really rough pregnancy. My baby shower had to be canceled because of a family emergency, and everyone agreed that it would be best to reschedule it until after the baby was born.

Two of my friends thought it would cheer me up to go to a costumed Halloween party at their parents' house. When I protested that there was no costume on earth big enough to fit me, they created a terrific clown costume that did a fabulous job hiding my enormous belly, and even came over to do some terrific clown makeup on me.

Imagine my shock when I arrived at the party to find out that it was actually my baby shower!

Naturally, being the jokesters that they are, they had a clown theme for the party, right down to the gifts! The sight of me opening those presents was absolutely hilarious!
