Here are Penina And Gina's Family Tree Baby Shower Ideas
Penina Janowski from Toronti, emails her ideas of throwing a family tree baby shower and creating a special time capsule to keep the memories for years to come.
I think a baby shower is the begining of someones life so it would be fitting to have a tree planting party so that whatever is growing inside the mommy will continue to grow once the baby arrives.
So we would all plant trees in the mommy to be's backyard as a sign of the new birth coming soon and dedicate the planting to each new arrival that is expected to come.
Also, I would bury a time capsule with all the items that were a part of the persons pregnancy so when the kid is 18 he/she could retrieve the time capsule and see what transpired 18 years ago when he or she was born.
And for the time capsule, it could include photos of mommy's baby shower, growth steps of the baby, newspaper clippings, a family tree with related siblings and items that the mommy thinks the 18 year old will need to further his or her life from here on in once the capsule is opened.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter your contest. If I win I promise to vote for world peace (and everyone gets a free pez dispenser with a baby rattle attached..lol)
Gina from Roanoke, Indiana, emails her story about how to throw a family tree shower without putting everyone all together.
Our family is spread out all over the country, so my baby shower was a rare oppertunity for us to all be together.
With everyone around it was a perfect time to make a family tree - without having to do too much research since everyone knows all about their branch.
We also made a photo album so that my daughter would recognize faces of distant relatives.
The most toughtful thing was when my mother in law handed out fabric pens and white fabric. Each person got to design a square to be put togather for a baby quilt. Some squares were simple just a wish or message for the baby. Some were more elaborate with beautiful drawings.
It was a great way to remember the day. And more importantly it will be a keepsake my daughter can treasure forever.
Thanks, so much, Penina And Gina from your family tree planting party ideas! These are really so much great ideas - I'll be publishing your creativity in my Baby Shower Planet ezine so that everyone can enjoy and share from.
