Homemade Baby Shower Favor Design

Go ahead, impress your friends...by making cute towel animals as homemade baby shower party favor? It seems easy enough to do, right? So you grab a towel from your bathroom or linen closet and start to fold.

You roll and twist and fold, then you stand up your elephant and it rolls over like a lazy hound dog!

Here's what's wrong...

Your towels are too fluffy! The best towels for towel animals are the lower-grade (hate to say it...) hotel-style towels that have NOT had fabric softener used on them.

They hold their shape much better and are generally stiffer.

So if your homemade baby shower party favor dones't look like mine, try losing the super luxurious, Martha Stewart, soak up a whole swimming pool, soft as a baby's bottom towels.

Grab some of those towels you bought when you were broke and single. You know, the ones you're using to wash your car -- use those.

If you don't have any, just go to Wal-Mart and buy the least expensive ones you can find.
