Joseph Baby Cake

My best friend and cousin is expecting again. It is another boy and she thought that only girl baby showers can be cute.

So I set out to prove her wrong.

I wanted to do something very special for her second and last pregnancy. She is a struggling single mom who never gets to think about herself at all. I wanted a special center piece, and a special gift.

I always buy diapers and a assortment of baby items to give to the mother. So I made her a 3 tier baby diaper cake out of 72 size 2 swaddlers. The tiers are held together by 2 playtex drop-in bottles that I filled with baby ear swabs. There are 5 washcloths throughout the cake.

I personalized little sport and animal wood cutouts with the baby's name, plus they can be hung in babys room after cake is taken apart.

There are 2 spoons that hold the baby pillow and baby shoes I stuffed with baby bibs on the top.And throughout the cake I used 24 teething links, 2 pacifiers, 1 water teething ring, and 1 ducks baby rattle.The best part of all is that I saved all the prices for the item and used it as a baby shower game.

Everyone had to guess how much all the items came to and the closest one won a door prize! The mom-to-be was so shocked and happy to see her cake! I'll be doing this much more in the future!
