First I contact all friends and family, and encourage them to contact others.

The idea is to have fun, and enter a contest or contests, and provide some baby shower gifts for a family member, a needy family, or a newly arrived family, possibly a new immigrant

This could be done as a "Church" project, a "School" project, a "Town" project, a "Community" project, a "Sponsor" project i.e. a Car Dealership, an e-bay project, where by a buyer of a baby product that is a sponsor for someone else.

The vender sends either an exact replica or a token present to a needy church, organization, or linked to a web site (either existing or created, i.e. Yourbabyshower.com).

Everyone picks a favorite nick name for grandparents, and votes once the list is there. And everyone signs up for a Beta type online time slotted web meeting site.

A phone line is dedicated to online "stories" or phrases for people to record for the babies listening and learning pleasure.

Some online examples and short stories could be available. And the best reader could get a prize.

Live IM given and taken for parents to be. If they do not have internet, this could be provided by community, internet cafe or sponsor of the contests or promotion advertising.
